Fall is finding us a little more each day. Back are the creeping mushroom towns, the wee little snowflake fairies (Woolly Aphids), crisp falling leaves, and our annual Harvest/Michaelmas festival with friends. Dragon Bread recipe
(Cheese Pretzel Recipe from Waldorf Book of Breads): Dissolve 1 T. yeast in 1 & 1/2 C. warm water. Stir in 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. sugar. Then add 3 C. whole wheat flour and 1 & 1/2 C. shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well then knead on floured surface until smooth. Shape as desired, brush with a beaten egg (we added more shredded cheese, everything-bagel seasoning, and peppercorns for eyes), and bake at 375 until done (about 10-15 minutes, a little longer for thicker bread).
